Where as there are only 3 Group Sites (#4, 5, & 6 - for a total of 60 camping sites) left to reserve for the weekend of May 14-16, 2010 at Devils Lake S.P., at a cost of $40/Group site/night.

Where as the Red Oak enclosed shelter is still available for the weekend of May 14-16, 2010, at a cost of $100/day.

Where as the Red Oak shelter does not have a kitchen& the possibility of missing out on the Red Oak shelter, by the time of reservation, the alternative shelter to be White Pine (TPA) Open Shelter for 80-100 people White Pine/Telephone Pioneers Association (TPA) Shelter at a cost of $55/day To be used for Sundays Pancake Breakfast or as the back up if Red Oak is not available

This shelter is just south of the South Shore Contact Station near the playground area.

* Electric lights in open shelter area and electric outlets in kitchen/food service area.
* 5' x 2' grill on pedestals at the south end of the shelter.
* Public restrooms to the back of the building with separate doorway to accessible facilities, no showers.
* At the center of the east-side of the shelter, there is an indoor kitchen/food service area with a window and counter that opens to the shelter for food distribution. Inside this area a counter with a double kitchen sink extends 3/4 of the length of the wall, with the deep sink in the right corner of the room. There is no refrigerator or stove in the kitchen area.
* One four-plug outlet and one two-plug outlet above the sink counter.

Where as this park is extremely popular and highly reserved by scouting troops, group sites are very limited, and the possibility of losing out on that which we want to utilize, it is in our best interest to move on these ASAP!!

So be it moved that the WGA submit and reserve for Group Camp sites 4,5 & 6, 10 days from original motion, by October 10th, 2009.

The shelter(s) will here by be reserved within the reasonable time of 3 weeks (by the end of October) after the Group site reservation.
