Term For Extra (Vacant) Board Position Filled In 2010 Election
||CLOSED - Published
An extra vacancy currently exists on the Board due to the resignation of Anne Padgett. This Board position shall be filled during the regular 2010 Board election. This increases the number of open Board positions for this election from 4 to 5.
The WGA bylaws do not specify exactly what must happen in this case, nor do they specify the years in which 4 or 5 Board members must be elected. The preference of the current Board is to award the longer 2 year terms to all new Board members to provide greater continuity.
The 5 individuals obtaining the highest number of votes in the 2010 Board election shall all receive normal 2 year terms on the Board. In 2011, the WGA shall elect 4 new Board members. (Essentially this is switching the years in which 4 vs. 5 Board members are elected.)
