I can't believe it!
After spending the past year occasionally firing up the old computer with XP I had a break-through! Thanks to everyone on the forums and a link sent to me from One Paddle Short which I will share with you, I am now able to hotsync my PALM and get files loaded to it. I am ecstatic! It doesn't load automatically, I need to drop the file to the "add a file" on hotsync but it works!!! Thanks OPS and everyone else for the help.

I will have to try this some day. It sucks that Palm doesn't care that users with Vista can't Hotsync. |

For what's it's worth....I have been able to synch my GarminiQ3600 (Palm) with my Vista without any problems.......there was some patch or conduit that I had googled that did the trick.
At the time my new lap top sat for a bit because of my angst with Vista and Palm but I got over that after finidng the particular solution to download..............for what it's worth.

I have a Dell Axim X30. I never use the sync with it because it's a pain in the arse to do so. I found that it is so much easier for me to just move files from my Dell Axim to my computer and vice versa using the SD card.
It's actually quicker too doing the drag and drop of files this way. |

i think it was limited to certain styles of palm. i have an older palm centro phone, and didn't even need a fix for it. before that i had a palm m series that i connected with just a quick patch. |

That could be. This Palm V is getting up there in years, but it works so good for what I use it for. I may give it a try again tomorrow. It works well on my main computer that uses XP. I have a USB to serial connection that I bought in hopes of using it on my Dell Laptop while at the cabin. |
