I apologize for offending anyone. Let me go on the record of saying that I don't give a crap about what anyone does, does not do, finds, does not find, revisits, does not revisit, rescues, does not rescue, replaces, does not replace, DNFs, or does not DNF in this game. I don't care if someone files a report 100 times or 1,000. I don't care if someone "breaks" every "rule" in this game. I don't care 1,000 people play this game. I don't care if I'm the only one playing this game. I don't care if I "win." I don't care if I "lose." I simply, truthfully, frankly, honestly, genuinely, don't care.

I have other things to care about, but this is not one of them.

This is hilarious. I actually went back and read it semi-aloud here in my cube. The mental picture is probably worth a $1M bucks.

I also have other priorities and hopefully my comments are taken as tongue in cheek as well. I also have morals that wouldn't let me confirm these just to get some easy points. The engineer in me brings about some curiousity and a desire for "exactness" and this coupled with being a programmer? Well - You get the picture..... wink wink wink (winkies just to be sure it's not taken the wrong way)

When I read his post I was thinking: "I don't care in a boat"... "I don't care with a goat"... "I don't care with a fox" .. "I don't care wearing socks".. "I don't care here"... "I don't care there"... "I don't care anywhere".

About the only time I look at what others are doing in relation to the LCG is when someone scores a ton of points and I am bored and want to read some good cache logs. Typically LCG logs are fun to read when you need some entertainment. Especially gotta run's logs. wink

That's because so many are DNFs that start with "This was the most frustrating cache we have ever looked for..." Evil or Very Mad

As are many of mine from the Laughing Waters series. As a new cacher I had no idea who S|S was, or what his caches were like. There was this neat series of puzzles just up the road in Menasha from my office, so I thought I give it a whirl. How hard could they be honestly? Well call it baptism by fire, I managed to grind my way through, but S|S is probably sick of seeing my name come up on emails saying - "Ok - I've looked here, I've looked there, there's a big tree here, there's a fence over this way, a broken something over here, etc."

I'd rather get a dozen e-mails about places you've looked for one of mine than no e-mails or DNF's on the caches. It's tells me that either the cache is there or it isn't. I'd also rather get a ten paragraph note asking for help on a puzzle of mine, most of which aren't all that difficult, than have cachers contact previous finders for help. I will almost always give you a substantial nudge since I think anybody who puts an hour into solving a puzzle deserves a hint or two. There are very few puzzles that I won't help out on, so PLEASE ask me for a hint first.

As far as a baptism by fire, you just have to keep in mind that everyone has a choice to do or not to do my caches. Most choose not to and that's fine by me, keeps the traffic to a minimum and makes the reward for those who do that much sweeter.
