Is there a way to empty the recent finds folder. I don't mean geocaching WPTs. Like gas stations, restaurants that you searched for. |

I don't believe you can on any Garmin. Eventually they just roll off as the list gets full. Why would you want to do this? I suppose you could just keep searching for other stuff (you don't actually have to FIND it, the list should probably be called "Recent Searches") until the items you want removed are off of the list. |

Thanks for the reply. I think you are correct. I was just trying to clean up the clutter. LOL |

Benny, I just manually delete that file out of the unit when I'm about to load new caches. Just click on the Oregon as a drive and go into the appropriate folder and delete just the recent finds folder. Probably don't have to, but for whatever reason I do. |

I am glad ya got the 400T Benny. Over time I am pretty sure that you will find as I have that having the terrain maps is invaluble. I use the terrain maps often, and like them.
Not so sure you will need them much caching with Marc though.

Ummm.. if you click on recent finds, then menu you can remove all. At least on my 60CSx. But I'm not sure if that's the question. |

I think he wants to know how to remove them from the Garmin itself, in which case you do open the drive letter of the Garmin when it's plugged in and delete the file geocache_visits.txt in the "Garmin" folder. Garmin will recreate the file when you record your next find on the unit. |
