Steve,
Don't feel dumb, just behind the times.
Voting took place during August.
Once the voting was over with, they closed the voting thread and removed it.
I'm sure when the design is final they will post and example. The decided upon design has an outline of Wisconsin on one side and a Whitetail Deer on the other ... plus other cool features. |

Thanks for the explanation. I thought I did a pretty thorough job of looking around for the referenced designs < (that's me with a dunce cap and a silly grin)

My goodness. I wandered away from these boards for a couple months over the summer and I miss the fun! Cest la vie. Embarassedly I would like 5 of them to start, with more to come. |

Hold your horses fellas. We are very close to making these coins available for purchase, but we are not there yet. We're in the final stages of determining what the selling and shipping prices should be and getting the WGA store set up to handle the orders.
There will be a big announcement here and on the geocaching.com forums when we start accepting orders.
No need to beg... as long as you've got cash, we'll sell you some coins. |

Yes, I told people at Groundspeak who were inquiring about coins that they were not yet even minted yet, but they are getting antsy. I also mentioned that I was sure something would be posted on the Groundspeak forums, but I continue to get people emailing me ordering coins. My suggestion was to keep an eye on this forum to see how things are progressing.

Geocoin people can be very antsy. I should know.
I posted on the regional forum telling people to wait for the announcement. It will come....

The board has been working tirelessly behind the scenes setting up the WGA store and getting final designs and quotes and stuff to the manufacturer. Everyone should be recieving an e-mail soon announcing the coin roll-out.
Hang tight. We are on the brink of blowing this open!

If you placed an order...
A WGA geocoin handling and shipping working meeting was held this morning and into the early afternoon, and all shipments were packaged and dropped at the post office this afternoon.

I would like to preorder 50 or so of these! Maybe change the picture to a regular Miata script or a picture of my car.

I vote that we never, ever, EVER look at the "back side" of that geocoin!
