Different picture puzzle caches

Different ways to go about solving picture puzzle caches.
im running into some trouble on a few.
so my question is just how to approach picture puzzle cache's.
i hope i dont need certain programs for some like adobe photo shop "because thats a little pricey"

they seem similar just wondering if they use the same solve method and what kind that would be.

Hmmm. This cacher has some interesting puzzles.

The workshop threads don't really talk about image caches based on my recollection and a brief scan, so here are some general thoughts on the matter without getting into too much detail on specific caches.

There are basically two ways of hiding coordinates IN a picture. One is visible, and the second is invisible.

Visible, well it is what it is. They are in there somewhere!

Invisible, means they are part of the "code" of the picture themselves. This can be done through encryption, steganography, watermarking, even digital rights managmenent technology.

If the coordinates are not hidden in the picture or its digital code, they may be associated with the picture somehow, either through its image properties, stuck in the HTML coding, etc.

Well interesting ... In the first cache listed the three trees (1/3 up and 1/3 way from the right) appear to be the same trees as in the upper left picture in the second cache.

remember my question was generally just a "what are different ways to go about solving picture puzzles"not really asking people to solve it for me or giving me the specific way of doing so.
it appears that i might need a program i dont have to solve one of them.

I didn't intend to solve or provide anything useful. The 2 caches were done by 2 different accounts and I just thought it was interesting that they shared something in common. I have no idea if that plays into the solution or not, I just happened to notice it.

so i was just clarifying that i don't need to solve these puzzles but just asking different ways to go about solving picture puzzles.

I appreciate the question as well, as these always have left me scratching my head. As with SG, I don't want solves, just guidance in a general sense. I do puzzles because I enjoy the aha moment, not because I 'need' the find.

I do know there is something called "invisible ink" that shows up when you either print it out, or highlight and drag across the whole page. I haven't tried that with either of these, but it might be worth checking. That's the only kind of picture puzzle I've ever been able to solve.

You do realize that isvisable ink becomes quite visable when transfered to a portable device...

I'll leave posting the GC number up to SG. Or you could check his profile. Not too hard to find it from there. (The listing that is... No idea how hard the cache is to find.)
