Wonder if anyone is experiencing this problem and/or knows of a solve:
Starting yesterday, every time we leave the geocaching.com website, we are forced to log back in on our return. Always sign in, and have everything set to accept cookies. Never had the problem in the past. It happens on everything we use: 2 PCs and 2 Smart Phones. Only solve we can think of is to change our name and password to one letter to expedite the log-in process............
Found nothing in the Groundspeak forums.
Thanks for any assistance and insight you can provide! |

Not having problems here. We have a Mac, but have done everything you did. Works fine. |

I notice if I use Geocaching.com on a different browser or computer I have to re-loggin each time. This is my thought process on what is happening. When you log in on a new computer it creates a cookie linking your loggin with that computer. When you go back to the computer you were using it will see that that cookie on the old computer has expired and log you out. |

This will happen if you indirectly access CG.com and then log on such as through the WGA link. I've never had it happen except in that manner. |

The only time I have to relog in on my computer is when I access gc.com with my blackberry or my computer at work. The same thing happens to me with the WGA site also.
I just try and avoid loggin at work. The boss likes to sneak up on me once in a while. |

Thanks much all, for your thoughts and guidance!
We don't have a Mac to use, so can't try that route.....
We've never had any problems being on-line from multiple devices before, so if that is the problem, it would seem to be the result of a change at GC.com....and have placed a question on that forum as well......but this forum seems much more responsive. Also, we'ver made no change in browsers or OSs from the previous 'good old days.'
Not sure we've changed any practices related to logging in through other sites, but will take a closer look at that.
But, symptomatically, we may just have a simple case of the RSplash40's........is there a cure for that?
Thanks! |

This happens to us, too. We've thought about bringing it up in the forum, but figured it was just us. |

I use multiple PC's for both geocaching.com and wi-geocaching.com and tested the theory of cookies this morning. Logged in earlier on one PC and then later on the other and was not prompted to re-enter any password info.
I have experienced this in the past though and have never been able to figure out why though. I'll pay more attention going forward though to see what happens. |

Yes, it is puzzling............
Knew you'd like it!
P.S. Thanks for experimenting! |

We just noticed that once a month or so, our security software will do an automatic scan, find one cookie, and quarantine it. The scan history shows this has happened every month for the last several. Not sure if this has anything to do with the log-in issue, but we did notice we were logged out this morning. We logged in and haven't had any problem. We were even logged in when viewing cache pages in GSAK, which isn't always the case. |
