Hello everyone,
Just a quick intro as I signed up the family with WGA last night. We are a family of 4 in Oshkosh that started caching in early June. We are pretty much in hook, line, and sinker (even making a late night "run for the border" with sleepy kids in tow just to get another smiley face ) and we will reach our 60th find sometime this week. We've been heading out most nights sometime after dinner and coming back home when the mosquitoes get the best of us!
We are enjoying following in the footsteps of many of you as we sign the logs. Looking forward to actually placing a cache sometime soon as well
(cross posted in the NEW forum too) |

thanks and thanks again for the hint on the border run... made it much easier for this mom to let them look again. (although 11:20 at night helped as well ... ) |

I'm assuming "border run" refers to "Stuck between a Bell and a “Starry” place" (GC1ZKF6) As the "inspiration" for this cache I love seeing other logs at odd times of day due to the muggle challenge. I myself spent almost enough time there grabbing it at midnight and meeting the CO there that we could have waited just a few more minutes for the "Starry" place to open.
Welcome the forums, the WGA and caching in general. |

I knew we were into this thing deep though when my husband looked at me as we finished up a 2 hr car ride with a 9 yr old and 3 yr old and said "should we?".....Jim had been kind enough to help me point them in the right direction so I didn't have to watch them get run over in the drive thru .
I'm trying to teach the 9 yr old to make sure to use his noggin, not just the gps, when we are doing this. Last night, he did very well and we found 5 in less than an hr
and THANKS to everyone for the welcome! |

Just wanted to say that I like the team name! Took a little to figure it out but it's a great name. That and the signature line! |

Thanks, I knew it was a little confusing, but it's more of a reminder to us as a family that while we are "treasure" hunting, this is not really where our treasure is. I was afraid we could lose sight of that if we took this all too seriously. Every time we sign a log we remind ourselves! |

Welcome! You already have found this to be a family-friendly activity. It is what you make it. You will also find these forums to be helpful, humorous, or informative, depending on what you are seeking. Enjoy your family caching time! |

Welcome!
I just figured out your caching name. It's a good one.
Before I read the post from labrat, I thought it was russian or something. |
