I've tried searching here and on groundspeak, can't find it. Didn't someone mention that there is now a way to get attributes to show for paperless caching with an Oregon or nuvi device? If so, how do I make this happen?
Thanks. |

Works with Geosphere on my iPod Touch. I had to switch my preferences to use GPX 1.0.1 though in order to include the attributes in the PQ.
I haven't figured out how to load a PQ on my Nuvi yet, so I can't comment there about attributes. |

It's likely a switch is needed to the 1.0.1 GPX Version you have selected in your Account Preferences: Go to your GC profile
Geocaching > Profile and select "Account Details" to go to
Geocaching > Your Account Details.
At left, bottom, under "Your Preferences", change the version to
GPX Version: GPX 1.0.1
Hope that works!

But I only provided the "Cliff Notes" version of the GPX 1.0.1. You provided the detailed explanation which was better than mine. Sometimes we techies just provide the answer and omit the solution. |

does the GPX 1.0.1 include the attributes when used with GSAK? with the macro for POI loading to the Nuvi? |

Yes, for GSAK. I don't believe the Nuvi data structure has anywhere to store the attributes. |

I already have that version set as my preference. Could there be something I need to do with GSAK? I think I'm only one version behind on that...the newest came out in only the last couple weeks, I think.
I have also updated my Oregon 300 to the latest software, as of Saturday. |

Oh, and CJ.....there are different macros out for GSAK that create buttons to allow you to load your POIs into the nuvi. We have the nuvi 360 and that's how we do it. I have a new one I want to try, but I'm afraid to mess with what's working, LOL.
I absolutely cannot believe I know something technical that you don't know! Mark that down on the calendar, it will never happen again! |

I just broke down and bought a Nuvi for the car a month or so ago. It's definately a big help when caching, but I've done it the hard way so far. One of these days ... |
