This sticky forum topic is provided for WGA members to share their recommendations regarding “must find” geocaches in this region.
Please provide a link to the cache page for any geocache that you recommend. Remember that you can simply enter the waypoint (GC) code for the geocache and the forum software will automatically take care of generating the link (like this: GC3B1). Alternatively, you can post a link to a geocaching.com bookmark list containing your recommendations.
If there is a need to edit or delete your recommendations at a future date, just post a note in this topic and one of our forum admins will take care of making the change.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations! |

The FujnkyFinderz4 have set up a series of six caches called Mission Impossible (almost, nearly, not really) in Menominee and Marinette that are really creative and fun to do. So far they've activated 5 of the 6 starting with GC1MFF8. |

I agree. That series was a lot of fun and I'm proud to say that it's in my home area.
Well worth checking out. |

A really terrific and challenging series of caches is Merlin's Major Feat (GC1BCW8) by Lander and Lancelot in/around the Bonduel area. Cachers have to find clues in five different caches and on a travel bug in order to find and log the final. The caches range in difficulty from 1 to 4. If you have a sense of adventure and enjoy a good challenge, I recommend you give this one a try |

An excellent set of caches that get little attention are Long Tail Point Lighthouses 1859 & 1848 GCXHN8 and Long Tail Point Lighthouse 1899 GCXHNH on the west shore of Green Bay...I think mainly because they require a boat to get to and the water is shallow around the Point. But they are very accessible in the summer. In the winter, they'll be buried by the snow blowing in off the Bay.
And if you get out in your boat for the lighthouse caches, try GC1YTW8 The Lights of the Cat Island Chain too. There is a good, albeit rocky landing area on the north shore

Looking forward to the addition! Am I anticipating a "Horse of a Different Color"? I agree, this is one of the most enjoyable series I have ever done. Bring a bike, otherwise you're in for a lot of walking. It's possible but a long trek. It took my wife and I about seven hours of walking and searching time. |

There's a new series put out by Gotta Run on the Mountain Bay Trail between Pulaski and Bonduel that's a lot of fun. It follows the Lord of the Rings trilogy theme. The LOTC series has a great variety of easy to moderate caches...very family friendly...bring your bike. |

The great and powerful wizard spent this glorious weekend doing spring maintenance along the Yellow Brick Road. I enjoyed the frog chorus along one stretch, flushed a huge tom turkey in another, and heard the distant drumming of grouse on several occasions. It appears that in the next week or so, there will be a profusion of wildflowers. And best of all, there were no bugs! All 35 caches are ready for the season |
