Hey, im having problems solving this puzzle, I found all the answers but don't know which # to use on some of the numbers since they have multiple digits. I tried contacting the CO with no luck, so the puzzle is just sitting there waiting to be found, but I can't crack the code.

If anybody knows the answers, could you email me at bdraeger03@gmail.com and give me a hand.

I can email you the answers that i have and see if im right.

I'd suggest ignoring this one, and any others by this Team. Let them fade into obscurity like their owners who still find time to find some, but have no time to maintain their failing and rotting caches nor EVER respond to any requests for help or adoption. Many would agree this is a pure shame since a majority of theirs are creative and worthwhile in concept. But the stain and smell of a delinquent and silent owner is hard to overcome.

Well, I've made my opinions on solving puzzles well-known in these forums, but this is a case where my #1 advice (contacting the CO) will, in fact, get you nowhere. And this particular puzzle is, in my opinion, a bit confusing from a write-up standpoint. Also, it involves a big dose of Appleton Geocaching Math, which is unlike regular math in that the rules of algebra do not apply.

So I have dug through my notes and, rather than give a spoiler, let me instead try to clarify the puzzle instructions:

A = the answer you find for 1
B = the answer you find for 2
C = the answer you find for 3, minus 2. My notes say there is conflicting information about the length of the song. You might need to do some checker slamming....
D = The answer you find for 4, minus 3
E = The answwer you find for 5, minus 2.
F = Add the three digits of the number you found together and add one to that total
G. Add the four numbers from the license place together and subtract nine from that total
H. Add the three digits in the number of pages together
I. Ignore the numbers after the decimal place, and do not round. Add the three digits of the numbers of miles together and subtract 14 from that total.
J. You should come up with the year 198X. Subtract two years from X.

Thanks Gotta Run. I've had this one on the partially solved list for quite a while being in the same position as Muggle B is now. Time to try some addtional "math".

SUCCESS - But my info for "E" doesn't seems to match either. I had to use the number of positions NOT the number of moves to make this one work. Possibly more "SELLZUP Math", but for me Moves = Positions - 1 which didn't give the right answer.

I worked this puzzle for severasl months until it hit me. I checked where the other nearby caches were and where this had to be. Drove up and found it within moments. It's a gas.

Did this so many times that the answers are sered into my head. Might be a bit of work this time of year.

Bit is left to interpretation. After revisits to SSSS and Sloppy Seconds yesterday this should be a walk in the park. It doesn't appear to involve water, muck, or snowshoes, so ...

Rephrase as "almost a drive up"- no hip boots needed. There's a location guarantee-er that should be visible. Tough to see during the growing months.

Dropped by the cache after following this thread on the WGA forum about this puzzle. Found it open and full of snow. This had been a Nemesis cache of mine that took forever to solve so it has a sweet spot in my heart (that and it's close to home) so I keep an eye on it as the owners don't play any more.

Question is, do I dry it out and replace the cache or do we contact the reviewers so it can be archived for owner negligence.

Feel pretty strong about replacing it but let's hear thoughts.

It'll be Saturday before I can get back out to replace it.

For fun I emailed TBB.

"If I hear from you, I will replace the cache and dry everything out, if not I will assume your inaction means you want us to move forward with Archiving the cache."

No! Just put a needs archived log on it and treat yourself to a free ammo box in 31 days.
