Good, bad, or otherwise - here's what I'm planning to do. I'm going to sign the log and then post only a note (not a "Found It") log. Part of the CO's responsibility is to maintain their caches, archive them, or adopt them out to others that will maintain them. Hopefully without any "Found Logs" and a "Needs Archived" the reviewers will put this dead horse out of it's misery. Once it gets archived, I'm planning to switch my "Note" to a "Found It" log so I'll be able to claim it as found.
I'm not sure it will pass with the reviewers, but it's certainly worth a try. I'm sure there are some puzzle placers out there that could re-invent the wheel with a new cache and it would be a win-win scenario.
Anybody else want to join me? |

How you log it makes no difference. If the cache is back in place, high and dry, with a new log book, it has been saved by community maintenance, so a needs archived log is neither needed nor will it be acted upon. We can only wait for if/when a future maintenance issue arises with the cache, and then see if it is untended. |

On my list for Tuesday to get my name on the log before it might happen to go missing. Just in case. |

Originally logged a note, but realized a DNF is probably more appropriate to hopefully get this archived. |

There was definately a "pelt-sicle" here, but given the current weather conditions it's so frozen there's no way to get it out.
A can? HMMM? I did see something a few feet away, but ... |

I was hoping this would get archived with the rest of the monthly archives, but no such luck. Maybe a prior finder needs to post another "Needs Archive". I'm not sure what the process is to ID these, but I know it's had a few DNF's recently and it should be an easy find. |

Just sos youse knows it was "found" today but it's really a find from 11 months ago dated incorrectly.
Need to post my note that it's gone. Snow plow driver? |

Well, I remember your log, but I believe you deleted it in your "I'm deleting my logs on all the puzzle caches I found but didn't solve" frenzy. I wasn't gonna say nuthin' but... |
Some people might not catch the subtle humor in that remark, so let me clarify, the frenzy was to delete all logs on caches for particular cachers who've lost my respect, if they ever had it to begin with. I wasn't gonna say nuthin' either, but...
I think the frozen Chukie pic should be submitted for the home page header! |
