It is likely a problem with the Time Warner DNS server.
Maybe you could try switching DNS servers?
I would suggest http://www.opendns.com
All it needs to be is a setting on your computer (Setup On Computer Instructions)
or, you can set it up on your router too: (Setup On Home Router)
There are additional benefits you can get by signing up for a free account, but you don't have to sign up for anything.
I've been running this for a while and it works well. |
Wiskey33 is having issues with the WGA site as well. He is on Time Warner in Appleton as well. He has tried switching his DNS as well and is still having issues. |

Kind of sounds to me like a virus problem. If it worked at one time and now does not, I would try the go back feature. It cant hurt, you can allways reset if that does not work. |

I was on tonight 11-30-10 and all of a sudden i was kicked out and i cant access the site anymore through internet explorer. but if I go on Opera web service i get right on with no problems. Could people be having this problem because of IE or something. |

We were having problems with timeouts while connected to the WGA site using a Wild Blue Sat. connection. Two computers one was WinXP and the other was WIN7. Didn't matter which browser we used. Now all of the problems have disappeared. We had the problem for most of November but now all is fine. Somewhere a server or router got rebooted and we might never find out what caused the problem. |

Is it any better Andy? (and others...)
The WGA site was being blocked by a filtering company (Trend Micro) which caused many routers and potentially internet providers to block the site.
Would be interesting to note if that was it or if you're still unable to access. |
