Please check out THIS thread on the geocaching.com message boards for some info on this topic. I've been harping on Jeremy now since February, and even offered to pay him to increase the size. He keeps saying this week, but it never happens.

I personally would greatly appreciate it if you (and any others) would both post to the forum I mentioned above, plus also ask jeremy directly to increase the long description size. I've asked for 15k characters.

His email address is jeremy@geocaching.com

Thanks!

This is a notice to all of the players. I had originally stated that I would not accept form submitions after the time limit was up. But due to some requests because of vacationing and non-functioning links I have decided to make a change. As long as you log each code cache as a find on the poker page before the time limit is up I will still accept the form submitions. This way if you need to log several caches at one time you can wait to see what your cards are before choosing which ones to throw back. Sorry for the trouble, I am working on a better system for the next game. Good luck to all!

A little reminder, the first code cache closes in 24 hours, 12:00 a.m. Monday. Good Luck

Well, not too suprisingly, it didn't happen.

PLEASE... if you would like a longer description field for your caches, eMail Jeremy and let him know. I think everyone but myself have given up and stopped asking long ago, and so he is simply ignoring me at this point. Thanks...

The last code cache has been place on the site and the second has been removed. You have until 12:00 a.m. Friday 31st to find the third code cache. If you haven't found any caches yet this will be your last chance to recieve three cards. The entire game will end at 12:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5th. The winner will be announced by the end of the day Wed. Good luck to all.

I have a couple of questions for the players of the first Team Rusch Cache Game. Did you have any fun? Would you do it again? Please let me know, the future of the games depends on you. Thanks.

While we had every intention of playing when we got our player's card, we never could get together enough time to get out to the code caches.

We did have a lot of fun following the game, and greatly appreciate the effort you put into the game. We would love to see more games along these lines, and would make a renewed attempt to activly play.

Thanks Team Rusch, and we hope to see more in the future!

Robin and I had fun with this too. We liked that the caches were not too far from us, although I know that was a hinderance to others who live farther away. We especially liked having six new caches to look for. The fact that there was a game involved made it even more fun. Well done!

Caching is meat. The "game" is gravy.

I didn't like 6 separate (for some, long) trips to play. If a different game could be fashioned that didn't exclude and could be completed in one effort (a multicache?) then I think it would be better.

I also visited other caches in the area when I found the cards. Now, would I want to travel just to pick up one card and need to come back 3 days later for another? Probably not. But a one day effort to visit all the caches in a game would be attractive.

Oh yeah, I gotta win too. Image

We had a tremendous amount of fun playing this game. I would tend to agree with jthorson somewhat because we did have to travel quite a distance to play. But we also knew that going in! It was just hard for us to get the code caches because it fell at the holiday weekend and then with working, and the one-week time restriction, we had a pretty tough time getting to them.

But we did our best and had a terrific time playing the game.....Would we do it again...YOU BET!

Thanks Team Rusch for a new twist in geocaching. We enjoyed it very much!

I like the idea of doing a one day cache. I thought I could work it where I would hide 5 card caches to be found in the morning. Have everybody meet at noon, I would rehide the discards while lunch is on. Meet back later and find who the winner is. Make any sense? Let me know and i will do it.

THat sounds like great fun, MR Anderson!
I had a blast playing the last game and hunting the cards, each of which was an interesting cache in it's own right. THe only mistake I made was going after the beach changing room card on a hot Saturday afternon while there were about 200 people at the park. It took my neighbor and me so long to figure out where the card was that we were mistaken for a couple of homosexuals on a rendevous. Image
One guy even whispered something to his son, who pointedly waited until we left before he changed his clothes. Image :O!
All in all, though, I had a really good time playing and would love to do it again.
Thanks Team Rusch!
