So I haven't really used my handheld GPSr since I was flying over Utah, cause thats where it's stuck. Hoped to get some caching in this week, and do some maintenance on a wherigo I take care of, but I can't get out of Utah.
Have a Magellan Meridian Color, did the master reset, called Magellan customer service (or lack there of) and even though I'm getting 8 sats, I'm still at 30,000 feet over Utah.
Any help, or is it time for a Garmin? |

Hope you get it fixed soon. I've been waiting for that Wherigo replacement all winter. |

Tried removing the SD as well. Looks like the only thing thats stuck is the map. Coords seem to be acurate to this area, compass works, all the display pages seem right, just the map stays over Utah.
Sorry Gary, been one thing after another. This will be the third time I've replaced that final. Gonna chain it to a tree this time. |

Sorry, TDSG. We'll see you when you get back.
I know my old eTrex would take forever if the unit was moved a long distance. It would even ask that if it was having trouble getting sats. Maybe take it outside and let it search for half an hour. |

Serious jet lag! From December!
Took it outside let it sit till the bats were just about dead, maybe 90 mins. Nothing. Coords seem accurate, just the map displays Utah.
Think its time to upgrade to a new garmin. Any Garmins have bluetooth yet? |

Not sure about a Magellan, but when my Garmin got stuck, taking out the batteries and waiting 5 minutes solved the problem. (I was stuck in Sheboygan, eek!) |

Not sure how you might do it, but can you totally remove the maps, and then reload them (while you're at it, perhaps just load back in those sections East of the Mississippi ) |

If you're at 30,000 Ft. over Utah I think that you need a parachute more than a Garmin... |

Well this one seemed to solve itself. I was invited to join a group this weekend. So I gave it one last shot, and whataya know, it fixed itself. The Magellan must have known the new Garmin was on the way. |
