Not sure where I should be asking this but today I did my first Cache Rescue. I saw that there was a cache in New Berlin not far off my regular driving to school route that needed to be removed. I picked it up this afternoon and disposed of it. I went to log it and there was an error. I tried again, another error. So I left it alone, not sure if the WGA servers were acting up. But now the cache is removed from the list and I don't see any record of it. I think I'm just nervous that I trashed someone else's cache that I shouldn't have. Do I need to go trash can diving for the container? I hope not! The cache is GC2BB2B. |

Did you post a note on the cache page that you removed the container per CR___?
Did you go to active missions and submit a report that you completed the Mission?
Contact WisKid and let him know what you did. |

Yea, I was trying to submit an active missions report but twice it came up with errors after I submitted it.
Yes, I also posted a note with my found it log. I probably shouldn't be too worried since the cache has already been archived.
Maybe I shouldn't be trying this sort of thing! |

Bec, you can't break anything, so don't worry about it. I just need to know what you did to get the error and what the error said...
It looks like the mission was originally submitted by you. Is that right? |

that is a strange point on this one Brian.
If you look at the mission itself, DeeJay submitted and approved on May2, but when I looked it was still in the to be approved queue. when I approved, the text box for notes came up but when I submitted the note, it went page not found.
BTW how do the CRs get added to the LCG list? |

Automatically (AFAIK). If it's an active mission, it should be on the list. |

It looks like the module is messing up somewhere... I'll look into it, but I'm not looking forward to digging through all that code..... |

No, I was not the one who originally requested it. I'm not sure how long the request was there but I looked at it for a few days before deciding to go out there and get it. I think that when I was trying to report the mission as completed I recorded it as a request for a new mission. Oops! Sorry, it's my first time! I don't remember exactly what the error message was though. I believe it was just html codes. Then since I got the error message I was looking again to re-do it and then I think that I posted it in the right place the second time but still got an error message. After that I decided to give up and quit trying to record it. Sorry for all the work Black Cat! |

Not a problem.
You are showing up as having completed the mission, but the mission is still active. I think both of your submissions went through, so we can delete the active one. |
