Ken, RPaske, Socko and the beast have been talking among themselves about getting together for breakfast before going out for a day of caching, solo or in a group. We have tried it a couple of times and found it was a great start to the day.
Here is an opportunity to meet other cachers in an informal setting [if you have seen the beast eat, it's informal]. To discuss past and future hides and finds. To reduce the awkwardness of introductions on the trail.
Look for event caches to start May 24. They will be posted on geocaching.com and will be loggable events. Until then, this will be less structured. Trudy & I will breakfast at Heineman's just east of Port Washington Road on Brown Deer Road in Bayside this Saturday. Please join us if you are so inclined.

This is NOT a political event!
A reply to this thread may be helpful if you plan on being there.

A Wonderful idea. Wouldn't you know it, we will be camping in SW Wisconsin (A geocache poor part of the state!) for a couple of weeks. I |

We would have loved to join you, but already have tons of plans for this day and are booked solid from morning to night. If you do this again, please keep us posted--sounds like fun.

I won't be able to make it that weekend either, but I think this is a good idea. The nice thing about informal get-togethers like this is that you don't need a lot of people to have a good time. I look forward to seeing folks at an upcoming breakfast/hunt. |
