I'm not sure this one is still there. Sounds like the waypoint survived a controlled burn, but maybe not the container itself. Would be interested in walking this one with someone who has found it before...

This one has hit my first page of filtered caches, so I'm curious about it too. Bec, you asked in the note you posted to the cache whether the placer, Artopsy, is still active. A check of his profile shows the last cache found in 9-02 and the last time GC.com was visited was 9-04. Perhaps, if the container can be replaced by someone, it could be adopted? If that doesn't happen, then maybe it should be archived so a new cache can be placed there.
Here's hoping you can find someone to check it out with you!

Wait till it is frozen or you may not enjoy this particular cache.
There is also another cache in the same area if I remember correctly. |

What Whizbit said. When there are motorcycles racing on the ice, it is a good time to do this one. Yes, motorcycles on the ice. They have studded tires.

Artopsy was one of Wisconsin's first highly original cachers. As great as his caches all have been, it is unfortunate that he has not been active. I would like to see all his remaining caches preserved- they are very worthy. |
