Comkelp (Jeff) is offering a pontoon ride to the 3 caches on Lake Holcombe the Friday evening prior to the WGA Picnic. We would be meeting near GC30BQD and board the pontoon.
The 3 caches are:
GCZT4P
GC1Y3W8
GC1543X
If interested post here, to let Comkelp know. This is a small pontoon, limited to the first 10 people. Should be a fun trip on beautiful Lake Holcombe and a great way to start off the festivities for the WGA Picnic.

Lake Holcombe cache took a bit to find when I was out there, but after a search we came up with. Nice to see people finding it after we dusted it off.
Lake Holcombe is a great area, if it was just a tad closer I'd have one up there hidden. |

Put us down for 2 if the walking is not too far on the islands, otherwise just 1 for me. |

Bummer, I'd love to do that but I doubt that I'll be able to make it up there in time. But I've had my eye on those island caches since last summer. Have fun! |

Depending when we get up that way and if I can convince Mrs Hippie to let me out to play I'd join up. We'll see. |

Even if Val stays on the pontoon, she will enjoy the view. Lake Holcombe is an absolutely beautiful lake to take a little boat ride on. Come on and join the crew, it ought to be fun.

Those caches are not that bad of a hike to them. The worst will be all the underbrush at several of the islands. |

I'm thinking we should plan on boarding 6:00pm, weather permitting. Plan on about 1.5-2 hr. I have 20 caches planted around the lake (3 very near my cottage - boarding site) besides the three islands.(these 3 not mine) Here's easy directions: Cache site GC30BQD is on 259th St . My address is: 27179 259th (It's on a dead-end, so easy finding) Please e-mail me @ comkelp@hotmail.com or call: 715-559-9987 if any questions. I COULD entertain a Sunday morning run also if enough interested.......say 8am ??? |

I just had 2 island caches published, GC33Z94 & GC33Z8K. So........If there's time, we can figure on picking up to five island caches. As Zuma put it, What a great way to kick off the WGA 2011 Fall Picnic weekend! |

I so wanted to place one out by the 27 bridge on the island just west of it by the point when I was up there this pass July. I decided that I was a bit far to maintain it, nice to see more for me to go after this next summer! |
