It's been far too long since Team Badger has played in the woods! Commander Bob and I thought it was about time for us to rally the troops and plan a strike. After communicating our intentions to the team’s logistics officer, Cachew, plans were put into place.
Date of the attack: Sunday, October 16
Time: 0700 hours (aka/ 7:00 a. m.)
Target: Pain in the Cache...the entire series!
GCQ85A, GCNHQN, GCNHJG, GCNBVQ, GCN5V6, GCN3C8
The caches range from difficulty 1 to 3, with a terrain rating ranging from 2 to 3.5. (Time allowing, we will be visiting a couple of Earth Caches, as well as other area caches.)
The Team: Anyone who wishes to join us.
Note: The Commander and I attacked "Navigation" when the series first began, and we can tell you that this series is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of walking, a lot of hills, a lot of bushwhacking, and a lot of backtracking involved! (There will also most likely be some colorful conversation.) Never the less…we have great faith that Team Badger will make a successful attack of all target areas!
Leave us a note if you plan to attend the outing. Though not necessary to join us, we do like to have an idea of how many will be there.

Thats the same day as the Waukesha Area Pizza Meet & Greet (starts at 3). Even if you finish the 'Pain' series by then you'll probably not want to do anything else.
I'll be saving myself up for the pizza so I'll pass on revisiting the series.

We checked on the "Events" thread before listing a date. There were only three events showing, and none were on that date.
Sorry to those who are doing the meet and eat, but we will still be in the Kettle that day.
Perhaps if the "Events" thread were up to date...

Here's where I go to look for upcoming events: http://www.geocaching.com/about/calendar.asp
I RSVP'd for this one (Pizza meet and greet)back in August. Tami
Happy Hunting!

Okay...sorry for the delay! It looks like we'll begin our day in a "Painless" fashion. Our logistics officer did some work and came up with the following parking coordinates: N42* 54.046 W88* 29.894
We'll be there at 7AM and heading out very shortly there after! We're told that the series has taken some up to 9 hours to complete, so plan accordingly.
Safe travels to all attending. See you Sunday.

Though small, a group of Team Badger members met up for a day of adventure yesterday. We had a great time ridding ourselves of some pain!
Thanks to those who joined us on our venture! As always, it was great to see you, and even better to walk with you. The team did a very nice job working together to complete the series.
In Team Badger fashion, one member slipped away from the rest and hid a memorial cache. Watch for that one to be released.
The Pained Team:
Commander Bob
Col. Cachew
MajorBrat
Chico
Qwertytoo
and our newest members, LightningBugs Mum and LightningBugs Boy
Thanks to Natloh for stopping by for a painless walk and a quick send-off.
Till next time... |

Thanks to all for arranging this! Only a little stiffness remains today LOL! What a way to spend 11 hours, eh?
P.S. And how come I'm the only one to have logged our adventures so far???

...Because I couldn't walk to the computer?
Hey - this is a series NOT to be missed! It takes you to great places in the Kettle Morraine. Thanks to all for a super day!

I usually take about a week before I post. I can say that I did fall once, but only CB & MB were there to see it. |
