Just wondering if anyone has a PN-40, what kind of laptop they use to connect with it. We just bought a new laptop and the pn-40 won't connect with it.

I have a pn-60 and a laptop with no issues, what programs are you using? Are you turning on the gps to the sd card? Just curious on the steps you are following.

We have a PN-40 and a Dell laptop and have not had any problems. Does the cable work on other computers? That seems to be a problem for some people.

The cord works on my desktop. When I first got my desktop I had the same problem and had to get differn't usp ports installed then it worked just fine. When I click send to gps (using the laptop) It keeps giving me the prompt to download.

The problem you see when using send to gps is a known problem. The solution right now is when you get the red circle, click on one of the other tabs such as Magellan and then back to Delorme and it should work. Also make sure you have add ons enabled on the computer so that send to gps is available. Hope this helps.

Download the communicator and then see if it works.
