Looking for a nice used laptop. I would even like a used 233 or 550 MHz if the price is right. If anyone has one they would like to part with please let me know.
Thanks,
ProStreet

I have gotten several great deals on the Dell auction site. Most of the systems offered are lease returns or refurb units. http://www.dellauction.com/

Here's a great deal on a new one-

DellSB - Inspiron 1150 Laptop with 2.4Ghz Celeron, 14.1" TFT, 256MB DR SDRAM, CD-RW/DVD Combo, 30GB HD, for $697 after Rebate with FREE Shipping

This is the replacement for the Inspiron 1100. This one comes with a 2.4Ghz Celeron processor, 14.1" TFT, 256MB of DDR SDRAM in 1 SODIMM (making upgrades cheap and convenient), a CD-RW/DVD combo drive, a bigger 30GB hard drive, 10/100 NIC, 56k modem, Windows XP Home, and a 1 year warranty.

Start here through this link- http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bfmid=37628499&siteid=38421795&bfpage=1591589&bfinfo=995

Now click on Customize It under Inspiron 1150 $697
All of the options for the lowest possible price should already be selected along with your rebate (though double check to make sure).
Add whatever upgrades you want.
Scroll to the bottom and click on Continue
Scroll to the bottom and click on Continue
Scroll to the bottom and click on Add to cart
Finish checking out and shipping is free. Send in the $110 rebate (expires unknown).

Just picked up a DELL Inspiron 4100 1.0GHz 256MB 20GB from the Dell Auction. I paid a bit more than I wanted to spend, but got a better laptop than I was out to get. Just hope the battery is good!

Thanks for all your help.

Lately on ebay in the GPS section ruggedized laptops that run like 200Mhz have been going for $40-$50.
