So...Yes, Best Buy is sold out online...and yes, there are only a handful to be had in the state of IL (you can go to your local store and have one transferred in for you)...and yes, Gander Mountain does match prices...now, here's the thing...if in fact the price you are trying to match at Gander Mountain is a special, limited number, or close out item they will honor the price match without the double back. So...if in fact one was to go to the Gander Mountain in Janesville, where they currently have 6 in stock, carrying the printed add from the Best Buy website, you could get your Garmin ETrex for $49.99 plus tax. Me, I got 2 for the kids and paid $104.98 including tax(not my first choice in units, but okay for starters). Don't you just love our little website and the information it provides? Hee! Hee!

Will Gander still honor the ad if Best Buy is sold out? (I'm wondering if the fine print would require Best Buy to have them in stock in order for Gander to honor?)

I actually took the page I printed from the Best Buy website...it had the sold out thing on it, but it also said it was available in stores. The guy called Best Buy while I was standing there and talked to him. Got off the phone, called for a manager to bring keys to the department, and pulled the units from the cabinet. He only said that since it was a close-out, they would only match the price, not do the double back thing...fine with me sir! LOL!

Hey, I wonder if I can take mine back to Gander Mt (the one I bought with the Aldi deal), then take in the Best Buy ad and get it cheaper yet??!! Now if only I had a coupon too, and maybe a rebate...then they'd OWE me money!!!
