Here's the deal. I've read your Candidates Corner postings. Some of you I know, some of you I don't. Those of you I know, all would make fine BOD members. Those who I don't, you all appear that you'd be fine BOD members. After all, you're geocachers and WGA members, so you're good people.
So help me decide. You can vote for 6 people in the election. Tell me ONE of the people you would vote for, and why. I know it's a tough question, so you can keep your other 5 votes a secret. |

I think everyone running so far would make a fine BOD member, but after careful consideration I would have to say "Scrappy Scout" (Kevin Grant) will be getting one of my votes.
After spending a great deal of time with Kevin both caching, at events, and on a personal level, Kevin would make a great addition to the BOD. Kevin has great ideas, and is not afraid to do the work needed to get them going. |

You didn't exclude voting for myself, but I'm guessing that's not what you wanted.
One person I will be voting for is Averith. I've seen Rob and Karen at numerous WGA events, as well as the WB event. They jump in with both feet helping out doing whatever needs to be done.
I know that other nominees have done the same, but you only get to know one of my votes.
Great question! |

I don't know if I'm allowed to comment again, but I did leave it purposefully open ended.... |

I would vote for Brian Kling. The reason being that what computer talent I lack, I know that he excels in. You need a good mix of talents and ideas to function properly as a Board.
I may change my mind if a few more qualified people are nominated, and I hope there are even more nominations yet to come. All the candidates seem well qualified at this time. |

I have one vote already slated for Averith. Rob has tossed his hat in the ring for the last two years and I would have to say that other than getting the vote, he has been as involved in the WGA as a board member could be. I believe that this year is the year that he gets to show the WGA what he can do in official capacity. |

I to have reviewed the posts of the other candidates. And feel that a reply is for some one is a personal choice. That as a candidate it is in my best interest not to reply.to who is better and why One must choose on what each candidate has to offer when the voting is open then vote according based on the issue at hand Does this candidate have a problem solving solution One also has to consider that if elected some times its not what I think or feel but what is Best or what the members of the WGA .Based not on I would like to see. Board member are here to work for you the member. You have placed trust in board members to do the right thing . based on input of what you the members would like to happen. Question is what candidates would make the best mix based on what they have to ofter. You as a member must make that choice. Their is no right or wrong answer as who may be better. |

Ok, then in that case I'm voting for me because... I'm me.
Now you know two of my votes. |

This is a tough one, as I plan on voting for several people. I suppose I'll vote for labrat for two reasons that I'll bring up. There are many reasons I vote the way I do every year, but I don't want to tell you all of them.
Reason 1: He's fun to pick on.
Reason 2: I trust the guy. |

That is a thought provoking question, I am glad you asked it. I have been mulling it over, like I tend to do. The topic was clarified a bit more and as a result, I changed what I originally was going post – that can still remain my secret.
I think the WGA is in need of more female representation and input on the Board, therefore, you can deduce where my first vote would go. I would love to see a few more female candidates on the ballot too - there is still time! |
