You can also change what data is displayed on the map or compass pages. For instance, on my map page, I show distance and time to the next turn. On the compass page, I show distance and time and date (which saves me a lot of time looking at a calendar when signing logs!)

Thank you Sweetlife for posting the link to the maps. You saved me money on that and I now have streets instead of just the basic map. I also discovered the dashboard feature that lets you put up the compass and distance when going to a cache. My friend had that feature on his iPad app and he would go faster as he got close and I wouldn't know how far I was so he would get a little extra time at GZ before I got there. You can also touch on the cache icon on the dashboard and bring up the details, hints and log posts. Very handy feature!

I was trying to figure out that link to the free maps too...so do you have to download multiple maps? One for every little region you are interested in? Thx!!

That's what I did. I downloaded and installed the maps for the different areas of the state and other places I might go. It's not very user-friendly. I put the IMG files in and I magically has streets.

you can click multiple maps and download as a single file. I have WI and MI in one file, MN IA and IL in another file

Cool, I'll try that. Any suggestions on how to make the directional pointer smaller? When you're near GZ the pointer totally blocks out the cache.
