I will be in Madison April 21-22st for bowling tournament. I am looking for some caches around Badger Bowl, Bowl A Vard Lanes, or Fairfield inn. I not sure how much time I will have. I will have a muggle (my mom) with me. Any recommendations?? |

It's a bit hard recommending caches when I'm not sure what you like, but I'll give it a shot.
Badger Bowl isn't in a very good part of town, so there aren't many caches within walking distance, especially if you're short on time. If you have a car and a bit of time there are a few regular sized caches to the south & west - Leopold Legacy June - http://coord.info/GCKAKE, Leopold Legacy January - http://coord.info/GCKAK3, and Til the Fat Lady Sings - http://coord.info/GC377TY. If you like EarthCaches there's one just to the north - Madison Lakes - http://coord.info/GC1BAQ1 (full disclosure - that one's mine). There are 4-5 micros not far from that cache, but not in the same park.
You're kind of out of luck at Bowl-a-vard too, if you're hoping for caches within walking distance. There just aren't any all that close. Across the interstate City View 1 & 2 http://coord.info/GC2AHWJ http://coord.info/GC2AHX1 with nice views of the city, There are several closer into town, but I haven't found them yet so don't know much about them.
By the FairField Inn is Esser Pond Cache http://coord.info/GC1B31A It's a puzzle I haven't solved so I'm assuming that it's nearby. Greenway Walk http://coord.info/GCR0X1 wouldn't be too far. Madison's Di Vine cache http://coord.info/GCWNEC, Wexford Wanderings II http://coord.info/GC2GTFN, Stricker's Walk http://coord.info/GC27X3M, A Middleton Landmark http://coord.info/GC321CJ, and Pine Tree TB Hotel http://coord.info/GCVDAH are larger caches not toofar from Fairfield, but you would need a car.
Hope this helps |

Thank you for your recommendations. I will look closer at them. I did check out some one night and saw that the are about 3 east of the hotel that look possible. Also thank you for letting me know Badger Bowl in not in a good part of town. I am still fairly new at this and my mom has never even tried. I plan to corpt here.
The earth cache maybe more interesting for my mother.
Car will not be an issue.

Are you staying at the Fairfield Inn East Madison, or the Fairfield Inn in Middleton? The ones LMcGisme listed by the Fairfield, are near the one in Middleton, FYI.
Near Bowl A Vard, there are a couple of quick finds in nearby Reindahl park which are both really fun/unique hides that could be used as leverage to hook your mom on caching. GC38FW4 and GC352HY |

I hadn't realized that there was a Fairfield East. If you're staying there then City View 1 & 2 would be within walking distance.
A little to the east of the hotel is Burke Park with a couple of regular sized caches, Elliots Treasure http://coord.info/GC1ENVX and Bucky's Travel Mug II http://coord.info/GC2ME2N Also to the east are a couple pretty close together - STH - Burke Station School http://coord.info/GC1NT2Q and WSQ. Sticky green things http://coord.info/GC2DV34
Nearby there is also Red Top - http://coord.info/GC2MBMY which I haven't found yet but it does have a favorite point.
Good luck at the bowling tournament! |

I have been looking at everyone's recommendation since my tournament to Madison is coming up. I have a TB to drop off that fits me perfectly and I have been hanging on to it just for this weekend. |

Are you going to Badger Bowl again? We hid a series of caches near community gardens, and there is one near Badger Bowl... GC3H2ZR |

Thank you for the notification. The state bowling tournament is in Milwaukee this year. I will have to find another reason to get to Madison to pick up some caches. |
