Greetings and Salutations!
I have been caching for a couple of years now but have most recently gotten more into it as I now have an iPhone 4 with the Geocaching app on it and it works much better than my old hand held did! I am a father of a 7 year old boy that loves geocaching with me and I am trying to get my fiancee more interested too.
I have been hiding caches lately with a theme to them. First of all, I love the Beatles and therefore the series that I am hiding will all be lyrics or titles of Beatles tunes. Secondly they're all what I am calling "Pay it Forward" caches. I am putting a dollar or two in the cache for the FTF. The catch is that if they take the money they have to log how they're going to use it to help someone else. It's not much, but as I say quite a bit, "sometimes it doesn't take much!"
Anyway, I am looking to get in with the local group of cachers from around the Racine area, but don't know who the local guru is. Can anyone help me out with that? Would love to go out caching with a bunch of dedicated hard-cores! |

Welcome to the WGA! I am not a caching guru, nor am I from your area, but you will find plenty of dedicated cachers here in the forums and at events to connect with. Happy caching with your family! |

@cubtrax
I'm not in Racine area... (in Milwaukee)... though I do know some of the regulars to the coffee group include: StarWarsGuy and tom k.
And Welcome to/back to geocaching. (Great way for kids to get outdoors)... my 3 grandsons (age 7, 5, and 3) love finding treasures! |

Cubtrax, gkrone is correct. We meet at Wilsons Coffee each and every Saturday morning. We also have a Facebook group if you are on there. If you have any questions, send me an email at yaletech@gmail.com and we can chat. |
