This is not about interactions with the local constabulary. This is about moments with muggles that are down-right awkward.
Today, after finding Goldie, You're My Idol - Season 4 http://coord.info/GC3F1AM I heard young female voices close by. Since I teach at Nathan Hale High School approximately .5 mi away, I was hoping it was cross country runners out for the afternoon and they would pass me by. But no, the voices stayed where they were and I wasn't ready to hide in the woods forever, so I moved in the opposite direction and emerged, casually strolling towards the geo-mobile.
I didn't recognize the two high-school age girls standing by the road, but as I got close to my car, one of my students emerged from behind a large pine tree - I'm pretty sure she was answering the call of nature!
We said hi and as I got in the car, the other two girls burst out in laughter. I wonder what will be on Face-book tonight!?! |

Great story beezers! And great log too, it made my day. I'm afraid that if I ran into one of my students peeing in the woods it would really be nothing shocking. I teach preschoolers after all. So are you going to look on facebook and see if she talks about her embarrassing teacher! |

Hopefully your student wasn't doing her thing in that patch of POISON IVY that Becca spied. Becca could tell you stories about that...
I don't know if this quite qualifies as a "muggle" embarrassing story, but last year we went to find two new night caches, and when we were getting out of the car at a residential dead end with our flashlights, another car pulls up and this guy we've never seen gets out. We were excited to have another join us for the journey, and asked if he was here for the geocache. He responded "What's a geocache?" Oops, kind of embarrassing.
As it turns out it was another cacher, just having fun with us. He went on to find the two night caches with us, as we co-FTF'd both of them with him. The caches were Glow in the Dark 2 Re-do, and Glow in the Dark 3, and the cacher's name was Ranger Boy. |

Mr. BakRdz could retell the story of how I was caught standing on tip-toe, on the roof of my car, trying to snag a container on a branch. It's hard to come up with a spur-of-the-moment story when your found by a bow hunter who has been watching you from about 100 feet away the whole time!
He was wearing camo, ya know! |

Not really embarrassing, but kind of funny. I was looking for a cache in a park in Stevens Point. Along the way I had to cross a footbridge over the creek. Just on the other side of the bridge, a family was having a portrait taken by a professional photographer. As I walked across the bridge, the family's dog would not take its eyes off me. The photographer asked me if I would come and stand behind her. I did, and the dog kept his eyes trained on me the whole time. Seems that they were having a hard time getting pictures with the dog looking at the camera. |

Had one encounter when I was at Presque Isle Park in Marquette. Walked in on two kids screwing in a hammock. And I'm not talking about putting them in a tree either.
I quietly walked away and they had no idea I was there. |
