I think zuma was sharing a feature of the WGA site...that's all. How a member chooses to use, or NOT use it, is their own choice. |

I based my observations on the word "popular" in the heading. |

Hmmmm... I'm thinking that my favorite number might just be 1256465. |

That is correct.
Sandlanders is also correct. Popularity is in no way reflective of cache quality. The inverse is often true. Some of my best caching experiences are from going after caches that are rarely visited.

I think most people understand that the most popular girl/boy in school is not necessarily the one you want to bring home to mom and dad. |

I don't want to meet your mom and dad.
Says right in the cache pages, "if you don't like easy ones don't stop here".
Proof is in the pudding that most people like them. They are not designed to be fav point worthy. I would never leave a fav point for a hide like the Stopspot series. It's not about that. I would like to think that it brings people, even locals, to country roads around the Valley which they have never been down. |

Agree! I always have a few grab and dash caches in the GPS unit. These caches bring you someplace you would have no reason to go except for the above mentioned. And sometimes you get an added bonus.
A Tom turkey all puffed up full of color trying to woo a hen.
Someones home with wonderful architectural features that you end up copying in your own cottage.
The list goes on, rural or city. Just open your eyes. |

Exactly! The popular ones are easy. They're good for a quick number but they're not one you're proud to have done. |

Whoa, what's with all the negativity here?! Personally, I'd rather just be happy. Thanks Zuma for showing me a feature of the website that I hadn't used before. |

I don't think the comments are meant to be truly negative, just opinions and goofy remarks. We share those and I'm better for them.
I like the feature Zuma has pointed out, and like the grab and dash. I also like the favorites feature and check out what people have said when they mark a cache with one. I hope it makes me a better cache placer to see what people say about caches they reward. The point Jomusky makes is great and he even has the courtesy to say it in the cache page. I would probably be able to figure out that they are grab and dash without the stated fact, yet I appreciate it. |

actually, yes, sort of...I was hoping I might get a cache to make the list. I guess I might have to hide something further west - or create a Goldie Diggers tribute cache so awesome that cachers will be coming from far and wide to gaze in awe at the "scene". (Just thinking...)
((((Wait for it...................it is coming )))) |

Hopefully not all the cachers get the same view that you did when exiting the scene. |
