I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the people that voted for this series during April 2012. I also want to give a big thank you to the cacher that nominated it.

It is so great to have people recognize the work that goes into placing caches out there. Something like this takes even more work and a lot of time. While I did the leg work, I also want people to know that the Green County Tourism Coordinator is there behind the "curtain". She has been great with her support in being the sponsor for over 100 hundred caches out there. Those preforms still cost a bit and she has picked up ALL of the cost for these caches and others in the county. Thank you Noreen!!

With the weather getting warmer, those that have not hit these 2 trails should make plans and go grab some caches. I think that there have been more cachers from outside this area and state than from southcentral Wisconsin.. That was part of the goal and the logs are great to read.

Again, thanks to those that voted. The WGA is a great bunch of people!!

See you at Gov Dodge,
Lord Cadogan (Wayne)

I've had my eye on that for a while. Now I really want to go! Geocaching, biking and quilts: some of my favorite things!

I'm interested. Are there parking coordinates for this series? I wanna drive down with my bike to do this.

You can park at almost any of the cross roads. There are trail head parking spots in at the top of the series where the 2 trail meet and also in Albany at the DNR parking lot and also the Mobil gas station. The Mobil is a good place to park as they have everything that you need for the day. Do half the trail, come back and rest, stock up and then do the over half.

A state trail pass is required for both trails. I would strongly suggest it as the do cruise the trails and check. Part of the perks of working with Noreen is that I get mine free. Smile

Sounds like a great series to hit with the new bikes and trail passes. Thanks for the info.

I've had this series on the radar screen since it was placed... and now finally I've made plans with LOST Mom and family this weekend to do at least one segment of the series... really looking forward to it!

A great series that I've enjoyed doing with the kids a couple miles at a time!

Think I'm gonna cancel my Brewers game next weekend and do this series, I didn't get the tickets yet.

If this series is not enough then you can always hit the ATB series on the Glacial Drumlin trail in Cottage Grove. I hear there are some tough hides and interesting containers. Congrats Wayne now I just have to get back for the west half.

Nice article in the Milwaukee paper this past week-end...

http://www.jsonline.com/features/travel/patchwork-of-quilt-squares-dots-green-county-vm76f32-173963781.html

We noticed a few of these barns this past summer - will have to look at the cache series...

Nice article. Too bad the cache series was not mentioned. Sad

Also it should be noted that the series is on the two bike trails and not located where the quilts are. It would have been a nightmare to maintain that many caches spread out over the entire county. Many of the quilt locations are also on busy roads.
