Jeep Wrangler owners........

Anyone out there own one and go off road or cache with em. I have wanted a Wrangler since high school. I was finally able to make my dream come true last October, a mere 27 years later. Laughing

Anyway, I am looking for owners who know of trails or groups. I also am looking to see what mods you have done. I am looking at a lift, tires and other mods. My baby is a 2011 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

Check out www.treadlightly.org/ before you take the jeep off road. Very good site on outdoor motorized recreation.

On my 5th Jeep.

An '80 CJ7, '87 Wrangler, '97 Wrangler, 2000 TJ Wrangler, 2010 Unlimited Sahara.

Never lifted any but thought about it. Until now, always changed out the stock tires and rims.

I know of some back roads, fire lanes, ATV/Snowmobile trails, with plenty of caches on them. And one pretty gnarly hill with a cache at the top. My guide fees are pretty cheap too!

I had a Jeep till I totaled it. It flipped and rolled very well though! I miss my Jeep.

Here I go - Solving more puzzles that I'll probably never find, but what an adventure it would be.

Speaking of trails?!? When I saw that boast, I thought for sure you had to be talking about some very specific caches. I checked the logs and the cheezehead is obviously still a "mild" cheddar Rolling Eyes

Caches so close and yet undiscovered by the cheeze.

Want more than a gravel parking lot?

Tom, evidently you haven't found too many of my puzzles cache or regular caches. I have been all the way around the Mandan Rd. Pre-geocaching. We have a cabin in Eagle Harbor. You forgot the Missile Base cache, which I DID find. When you have a wife who hates geocaching and a truck that guzzles gas, the Cheeze don't get much for a geo-gas allowance.

My to do list for this summer. I have been looking at your puzzles and driving the terrain may be easier! I may have to stick with the traditional caches. I'll have to put you on speed dial just in case I solve some of the puzzles. Let me know if you ever get back for Chief's Cabin, The biting flies were worse than any terrain and I'm not giving up till I score it.

The funny thing about the Rocket Range when I scored it, was how many people I encountered in very nice family vehicles on the way in and out. In many place, the potholes in the road were 10-12 inches deep. Rolling Eyes

Hi! V.G. There are lots two tracs and forest roads here in WI, but if you like adventure with other jeep people there is a big gathering each year on Drummond Island, to ride and camp together. There is also about 40 caches on the island to be found alot of them a jeep is not needed but it sure makes more fun! There is also a Geo Caching Event held there each year and I have attended it twice over the years and had a great time while there. This year we will be attending the caching event which is August 11th, but look at the event page, cause Capt. Bud will be releasing more caches, and there are other things going on also that are a great time. A few years ago when we were there for the caching event the jeeps were really coming over on the ferry when we were departing for thier summer gathering. I believe they do a spring, and summer jeep gathering each year. If you goggle Drummond Island, MI they will have info. about the many things going to be happening on the Island. There are alot of miles of jeep trails and ATV trails to be ridden and enjoyed and I have been lucky enough to have done it with both types of vechiles, but we will have our ATV's there to ride during the GEO event.
