TyeDyeSkyCrew cache adoptions

Greetings all,

I am putting up all of my caches for adoption. I can no longer maintain them. Today was a last ditch effort to save the vision in my left eye and it failed. I have no vision there any longer. A few weeks ago I tried doing just basic maintenance, and well, it didn't go well for me. Try walking through a forrest or over rocks with one eye closed and youll see my point. Crying or Very sad

I'd really like some of my puzzles to stay, and I'll give the solutions to the new owners.

Match Head is my main concern. It's my oldest cache, and seems to be a widespread favorite. It won cache of the year in 2006 as well and would like to see it stay just for historical purposes.

Good luck with your adoptions and perception adjustment. Over time, we hope you can adapt to using your good eye alone.

My aunt and uncle are each blind in one eye - she in the left, he in the right. They've functioned very well like that for years, even driving their small RV all over the midwest (I know, scary, but they each contributed 50% of the necessary vision...). They even recently upgraded to a 5th wheel camper! And when we last visited them in April, Aunt Jane managed to spot a geocache along a hiking trail. I had to fetch it, she said that at 81 she is not going off trail any more, but that it had nothing to do with vision!

Watching them with my 2 good eyes has been an inspiration. I'm sure there was some adjustment time, and learning to help compensate for each other, but they never really slowed down. It's our hope and wish for that you will also be able to discover ways to do the things that have been important to you.

Very sorry to hear that, Jay. I'd be willing to adopt Signs and Rooten Staircase.
