I guess "be prepared" means staying home and not getting cold and wet. |
One of the reasons that I'm hanging up my Scoutmaster hat at the end of Feb. |
That's why I 4 season cache with the lil hippies, no complaining whether the weather is ice, snow, sleet, rain or 100+ degrees. We're just a happy bunch of nuts outside 366 days a year |
I'm with you, Hippie. It's moms (and dads) that don't "get it" and don't want their little boys going out in the cold that are driving me away. My new Carhartt jacket and bibs came today. Can't wait to get out in some sub-zero weather and try them out ... well, I guess I can wait a little while |

I hadn't planned on it. Thought I'd keep them for DO cooking and such. |

Sounds like Up Nort is the place to be this weekend. Forecast is only for chances of light showers. |

I love my Carhartt jacket.
Kept me warm and toasty while on a December geocaching hike with temps in low teens. |

Had my Carhartt jacket on today while I was hauling sand. Was a little warm for it, until I started driving 20 mph down road. Then I was glad I had it. Would not trade it for anything. |

You never had a car, either. But I think you have a heart, ZB. |

Your next winter coat should be one, not a racing coat mind you but a stay warm coat. Awesome, I gotta get a set of bibs from them someday. |

Yeah, the bibs are awesome, but they run a little small. I need to return these and get a size larger. |
