We have yet to visit the virtual cache featured in this book. Hopefully we'll be able to finally visit it and several other urban caches when the woods are full of hunters in a month. We came across this book, which I'm going to get through inter-library loan to read before we go there. Thought others might be interested as well...

We visited this cache when we did our run for 4000th cache. If you go, it is in a heavily populated stretch of land along Lake Mich. The road is narrow and winding and there is no where to park to see the house. There was a lot of traffic so even slowing down to get a good look is hard. We made two passes and got an unsatisfying look at it. I think the neighborhood does not welcome the traffic the house brings it. Would really like a better look at this house. |

Wasn't sure if the virtual would be given away with the book by naming it, so I left it anonymous. I guess once we've been there, I'll know if it would have been a spoiler. |

It wouldn't be a spoiler for logging the smiley, it looks like. |

Hehe, if they put the info for that virtual in a book, it would be a REALLY comprehensive book! |

I agree with Sloughfoot. It is a very interesting home, but there is no access to the house. There are no sidewalks and no parking. |

It is a very interesting stop. There is a fence around it so you can't get close. Would have loved to have gotten a closer look. Even with the fence we did manage to take quite a few pics. |

The book arrived at my library today and I've started the "pre-reading" process. I've looked at some of the links to the Kohler Foundation as well. This is the next book on my "to read" list now. I am curious, since the cache listing (and the book, too) makes it fairly clear it is a drive by site, how people manage photos. I'm hopeful that one day, the Foundation can open it for public viewing, too. The book shows some shots of the inside, as well as her other artworks (and no cache spoilers!) |
