Barry- can we set a time this week?
We have a 3 hr drive from the Valley so need to lock in a time to plan. Willing to leave at whatever time we need to.
I see there are a couple more Lonelies not far from Eagle Source. Anyone game for those too?[/list] |

Well lets set a time as leave the gate at 10:30 am
Snowshoe to Eagle Source
Saturday, Feb 16th 2013
Meet at service gate off Atkins Road
N45 40.906
W089 00.654
Time:
With some folks contemplating four hour drives let's say-
Meet and Greet 9:45-10:20
10:30 Start Time
Approximate times to Hiles, WI from:
Green Bay 2:27
Amherst Junction 2:18
Wausau 1:50
Rhinelander :50
Appleton 2:38
Shawano 1:40
Oconto 1:40
Pulaski 2:04
Madison 4:01
Coloma 2:45
Mountain 1:17
All the above times are approximate using google maps, and might not be the best route.
I will have room in my truck for 3 others if anyone would want to carpool from Mountain. I am not sure of the road conditions at the parking area so do not know if is plowed (cars might not make it)
I will be leaving about 8:15, Post here if anyone would want to car pool.
Current forcast for Saturday 16th is Partly cloudy and High of 22 degrees |

This looks like a great agenda! Thinking we should celebrate board elections after the trek. I am baking. Suggestions? |

I won't be able to come now. Will be helping my son at Winter Camporee and my daughter and her cousin at their snow cave sleepover. Too bad I can't clone myself! |

Just over 2 days left, so who is coming for sure, and who is on the fence? Weather for Saturday is 17 deg and light snow possible. |

Lacknothing(s) and I are in. There's 2-3 ppl.
NOAA snow depth chart shows snow cover similar to here. Do you thing the ~6 inch still hold true and are the 'shoes still a good idea? I'll have mine no matter what. |

Looks like only adding a inch or two today, but there is about 10 on the ground up here, with a very hard crust on top of it from all the rain lately. |

I always carry an extra set of snowshoes if they are needed. |
