And the predicted snow totals just keep climbing.

Woke up this morning to a quarter inch of ice on everything and no power. I would have gone right back to bed it not for two cats that didn't seem to know that I couldn't even find their dish.

Well the cats are fed, the generator is running with a cord to the fridge, and normal will return ....whenever.

Good Morning Thread Stealers!

Thunder last night, 3.5 inches of new craphas in Wausau with another inch or two expected. Winter weather advisories, flood advisories...
What a LOVELY spring day!

We woke up to the same thing jar42, no generator to plug in though, getting the garage door open was funny. I went and found the camping coffee pot to make coffee. Wasn't very good, forgot how long I use to let it perk. Thankful we have a gas stove and fireplace too. Part of a tree may end up on the house if it gets windy before some of the ice melts off it. Can see that the bark is ruffled near the crack and it is much closer to the house than normal. Power came back on at 8:23. Water softener clock read 5 AM so I guess we were only without power for about 3 and a half hours.

Yeah less than a inch was predicted. Ended up with a couple of inches. Tomorrow could be very interesting if the same thing happens.

Just got done cutting/clearing downed limbs. Power still on but plenty of flickering. All the limbs were from the neighbors trees! Confused

Got an e-mail from Menards today. The subject line was "Your yard is calling you."

Yeah, well it will have to speak up, because I can't hear it under all the snow! Laughing

Holy Boom Batman!
Another transformer just blew. Power is still on though. Was without power from 5a.m. until noon. Neighbors tree uprooted and fell on their house. Everything is covered with ice. More ice to come. A fine Spring day it is.

I hate winter. Why did I come back from Hawaii? I woke up to no electricity, water in my basement, a wash machine that is still NOT working and Mr. Lacknothing is gone. When I went to leave, garage door would not open (duh - no electricity). So I went back to bed for a half hour thinking maybe it would all go away. It did not. I almost called Walkingadventure to come figure out my garage door emergency release, but then decided to just stay home. Bah humbug. Electricity finally back on at 2:00 and the Sears guy did come and fixed the wash machine using flashlights. He must be a geocacher to have so many flashlights.
