Trying to relieve the crushing boredom of the slowest business day of the year if you're not a retailer, I was nosing through the Iowa geocaching page and stumbled on a great thread. Shamelessly stealing it, "How did you come up with your geocaching name"?
Ours is from the movie Pulp Fiction. Ringo and Yolanda, "Cupcake" & "Honeybunny", the English stick-up artists are robbing a diner, and Jules(Samuel Jackson) draws on Ringo, beginning a Mexican standoff that equals any in film history. At one point Jules, with gun pointed at Ringo's face, says "Tell that b@#$% to be cool!", to which Ringo replies:"Be cool Honeybunny!"
Some will be disappointed that our name isn't so innocuous, but we've coopted it in our special way.
Sooo... how did you get your name? |

Lostby7-
I was in a bike race and guess how many seconds I lost by....? In any case the handle reminds me to try just a little harder, because you never really know how close you are to victory.

I work for an energy conservation company ... we assist commercial/industrial customers through the State's energy conservation program (Focus on Energy) and utility-sponsored programs. "EnergySaver" is just what came to mind the day I needed to pick a name ... I didn't know at the time how much we were going to get into this, or I might have thought of some cute/cool name instead. |

You'll have to ask my four daughters why I chose the nickname Team GeoPink.
(arcangl7 is just an old username I've used for awhile)

The word Miata is derived from an old German word meaning "reward".
On Acronymfinder.com I found an acronym for it meaning "Make It A Topless Afternoon"
Like Geopink, I had no idea how lasting my participation in Geocaching would be. So I just used a handle that I could identify with.......my love for certain Japanese Roadsters of which I have owned 2 so far.
What would I choose today??? I have no idea! Miata is who I am.

When your last name ends in "ski" you get a lot of nicknames in your life....this one was the most common and lasted the longest (and I actually answer to it: HEY POLSKA! Whaaaat?!)
PS: the origin of honeybunnies is fabulous |

I have utilized pcfrog as a user name for over 9 years since I made my first online user name, which was establishing a hotmail account. The “P” & “C” stand for my first and middle name while “FROG” represents my affection for the amphibian. To this date I still hold the hotmail account that I started way back when. I continue to make most internet related usernames with pcfrog. |

At the time I came up with this handle I was coaching youth hockey and was at the Bantam level and a class C club. |

Mrs. Rubeeslpr is a HUGE fan of The Wizard of Oz. Years ago, when setting up an email account on AOL, RubySlipper was already taken, so it morphed into rubeeslpr. Thus our geo name.
And the nice thing about it being our geo name, is we have been able to use ruby slippers in different ways for our signature item.

I started geocaching because I thought it would be a fun excuse for being outside with my kids - Ben and Becca - hence, bnb. Since then, Ben has taken his own geoname. |

"Old" and "Decrepit"... we both picked names that are self explantory. "Old" is just that... Old. I earned the name "Decrepit" by going 6 summers in a row with some appendage in a cast and then another 3 summers with sprains. We both joke about how we should invest in superglue since we use enough of it to put ourselves back together. |

"k" is the abbreviation for my first name, and I came up with "braband" by loosely basing it on an area/city in Belgium near the border with The Netherlands.
Oh yeah, it's also my last name. |

A purple artichoke was the thing I was looking at when I had to come up with a username. It's different and I remember it easily. Not crazy about it, but it works. LOL |

Well..... where to start. My hubby and Digital_Dan and his wife...well we are all good friends. When talking on Yahoo messenger, Dan could never tell who he was talking to so he started asking the for the bunny....since I would hop on and off here all the time and it IS hard to tell which one was typing.
Anyway...NOT knowing the Bunny FuFu {or Fo Fo or Foo Foo... how ever it is spelled} story, I started calling myself BunnyFuFu, cause I thought it was soooo cute. THEN I go and look up the old camp song and find out not ONLY is BunnyFuFu a BAD bunny, but she's not a she.. she'a a HE!! Oh well...too bad... I'm taking it LOL The name stuck and when Geocaching became part of my life I carried it over. Since I was not going to be boppin' field mice, I thought I would bop caches instead. Dan wanted me to be Anolog_Anne... hence the TB he has out. Why didn't I take Anolog_Anne???? What the heck is Anolog?? ROFLMBO What an antiquated term for such a you pup like me
Sooooooo Here I am Cache_boppin_BunnyFuFu and for those of you who know me I just LOVE those long handles.... especially on my cache names LOL
