Very Cool idea CB&MB! That's an awesome incentive to increase the number of events around the state! Way to go!

We will be releasing two of our WI geocoins soon since we have had fun watching our TBs and coins travel. We have 4 active geocoins and 14 TBs currently traveling around North America.
However, one coin and 3 TBs have not moved or are missing. We know who has our coin, and we have marked the 3 TBs as "unknown" hoping they will show up shortly.

I purchased three coins and one I will keep, one goes to my favorite cachers in New Hampshire and one will be given to another cacher at some future date.
I agree with the opinion that they are sure to disappear if they are put in caches.
I have already donated 5 geocoins to people who geocache who feel they can just keep them for themselves and I would rather just use my Wisconsin geocoins to give away as gifts to other cachers. |

I ordered 2 coins, which are very nice and well appreciated - thanks to all who labored long and hard on this project! One will be a Christmas present for one of the grandkids / caching partner, and the other a stocking stuffer for my sweetie / caching partner.
I doubt that either will ever be circulated, but will stay home with a few of the special caching momento's. Plain ole TB's disappear way too quick, I can't imagine one of these coins would last too long...

I bought a few. OK, 10. One got registered as Matt's Wisconsin Geocoin. It lives in my 11yr old son's coin collection and will probably never see the light of the wild. One will be registered as my personal keepsake. My little brother mentioned he'd like to buy a few from me and the rest I'll use somehow.
I like the idea of a "first finders" prize. Maybe one of these days I'll plant my first cache and I could put one of these in, unregistered, for the first finder.
I'll probably sell one or two to the highest bidder and release one or two into the wild eventually, most likely in a cache a ways away.

Ok The Tapps bought might be the most in the state. We do love those Geocoins!! We did share them and will NOT release them as they are collectible on the web. We have 55 USA out and activated with several lost!! They are easy to buy! We have LOTS OF DOLLARS in them. Just think of 70 or more USA Geocoins. Many more to activate. If our USA get lost, just think of the others.

I am giving one to each of my nephews for Christmas... the plan is for them to drop and pick up the coin at each cache they visit so that they can easily see how far they themselves have traveled on their treasure hunts. Plus, it is gold... so it is something they can put in their treasure chests they got a few years ago... only gold things are allowed in there. |

I am putting one in a cache for FTF. The cache is gonna be nasty and earned as FTF. One has been released as TB and two are being used as gifts. |

Love your case that you put the coin in. Mind if I ask where to get them from?

Hope that I can actually give away a coin. That would mean it didn't get stolen.
