I'd love a few suggestions as to a good tent camping location within 100 miles of Oconomowoc. Must allow dogs and be near (ON WOULD BE BEST) water. My prefered site would be open and not in the woods. Geocaches nearby would be nice but not a must.
Is there anything on lake Michigan? In truth even a small lake or BIG pond would be fine, so long as my son can go fishing in it. On our last trip he caught something about 2 feet long....if I had a clue about fishing I could tell you what it was but my largest ever catch was a 6 inch bluegill. |

I don't camp. We did visit friends when they tent camp here.

Very secure area great swimming hiking everything you asked for. And reasonable. Plus there are many, many great caches around West Bend.
Here is another

If you pick either of these let me know and we will get together. I know a great place in Dundee for pizza. Bensons in Dundee in the middle of the northern Kettle Marine has a whole bunch of varied caches. |

ottowa lake campground is a great state park. reservations can be made thru reserve america. due south from oconomowoc on hwy 67, maybe 15 miles. part of the southern kettle morraine. has a nice lake to paddle around in or fish or swim. open campsites or alongside the woods. there is also pine woods in the area. lots of caches nearby. |

Yep I agree. While I have never camped there I live about 6 miles from it and visit several times a year for swimming and kayaking with my kids. |
