Last night I downloaded the latest update to Google Earth. Afterward, I noticed a new icon on the top of the window. Upon clicking it, I was taken to a whole new place, literally.
It is now possible to search space, as well as Earth. You can use it to look at stars, planets, galaxies or whatever.
Not sure how all this pertains to geocaching, but I sure have a new idea for a puzzle cache! |

I really think the flight simulator is pretty neat, but find it funny every website article is claiming its a hidden feature(easter egg) requiring a special keyboard combo to use.
To open google earth flight simulator is easy, open google earth and goto the tools menu, and select enter flight simulator. |

Well it will not work for me. I just downloaded the most recent version. I can't locate it under tools or even using the magic key combos. |

Not sure why it's not working for you, I would check what version it says your running. If you are running the latest, maybe fully uninstalling the software and then installing it again will fix the flight sim not showing up issue.
To check your version: In google earth goto Help, about google earth.
My version is:
Google Earth
4.2.0198.2451 (beta)

That is the same version I have. I will have to reinstall later tonight. I checked under tools and I don't show a go to flight simulator. |

I don't think you can find it in tools. Ctrl+Alt+A worked for me.
The simulator is really difficult to fly if you don't have a joystick though. The controls are all over the place and respond REALLY slow. Then again, the slow could be my aged computer too. It's 4 years old and obsolete. |

Strange, I swear every PC I have tried this on has it listed under the tools menu. See my included screen shot.

Only after I entered "Ctrl Alt A" did it show up on the tool menu. It was not there before hand. |
