....the first snowfall of the season cannot be accompanied by subzero windchills.
The little kiddos can't go out for recess and THEY REALLY NEED IT!
Just saying, is all. |

It's all the fault of global warming. Isn't it obvious? |

Forget about recess. They can't get out there to shovel. |

Yeah, well the lovely snow here has now turned to icy sleet. That's not so great. We probably got about 3-4 inches on the ground before this stuff started.
As a cross country skiier, I wanted just the fluffy stuff! |

We're supposed to be getting 10-16 inches up here. We had nothing on the ground but already have about 3 inches from this storm. We were able to go and visit Santa today in Grantsburg with my kids and the snow started while we were there.
We were also able to have our Christmas tree delivered before the storm so I now have to put it up. ..........'tis the season! |

Started snow around 10 am or so. I just opened the deck door and stuck a ruler in the snow. 8.5 inches so far! That more snow than we got in Dec., Jan and Feb. last year! |

We've got ice. On everything. Including the initial layer of snow. I wish we were up north.
Sigh. |

We've got over 6" of snow with a fairly thin crunchy coating of ice on top. Just enough to make the cats do a "U" turn at the door and the horses love galloping and playing in the snow. It was fun watching them play during the heavy snow yesterday! It was good excuse to start the holiday baking! |
