Hello All,
I'm 45 and live in Washington County in SE WI. I'm just getting into this new hobby. In fact, I haven't even been out yet. I'm going to be attending the Geocaching 101 class in Waukesha this Saturday with my 9 year old son. He's the real reason that I've gotten into this hobby. My wife has been after me to spend more time with him, and he enjoys "treasure hunting" so much that I figured this kind of thig would be right up his alley.
If any of you are planning on attending the same class, please feel free to come up and introduce yourself. Just refer to me by my user name. See? Finding me at the class will be sort of like geocaching, except you won't need your GPS to do it!! |

Welcome to geocaching and the WGA. You and your son are gonna have a lot of fun. I just hope that your wife will be able to cope with what is sure to become an addiction! I wish that this had been around when my son was 9. |

Heck, I'm 35, and I wish this had been around when I was nine.
Welcome. |

Saturday will be fun. Besides the "will attend" logs on the event page, we have several others joining us from Waukesha Parks, Rec & Forestry.
The E.B. Shurts Building is very nice and the trails are now woodchipped covered. The Fox River was really flowing last weekend but has not flooded out the trails yet.
See you there -

Welcome to the cult, er I mean fun Crockett. West Bend will keep you busy for a long time. There are a ton of caches up there. Don't forget to check out the event page. Big event in WB in August. Have fun! |
