This was just awesome, at least the roundabout way we did it was. Our log tells the story, but if you like geology, nice long hikes and great views, this cache has it all. Almost wish we'd saved it for our 2000th, it's milestone worthy.

Wow. What a great cache. One of my all time favorites.

This cache is about .7 miles from parking, and takes you to the top of one of Jackson County's mounds, and at the end there is a lot of really fantastic rock formations and even a large arch out in the middle of nowhere. Great to find a natural arch that has not been discovered by all the tourists.

I had the place to myself today, and there were no bugs and no ATVs, and I really enjoyed the walk to this one.

If anyone is looking for a great cache for a milestone cache, I would strongly suggest this one. Plan on spending about 2 hours, though you could do it in an hour to an hour and 15 minutes without problem if you were in a rush, but what would be the point in that. I spent 2 hours even though I got to GZ in about 35 minutes, mostly because I enjoyed checking out the area.

The trails are not ATV trails so you wont have ATVs to contend with. The trails are excellent mountain bike trails, so if ya want to get there quicker, or want a great winding ride on the bluffs, this would be a great cache by bike.

There is also a park and log in the parking lot, so ya can get a 2fer out of it, if ya want.

Glad you enjoyed it, Mr. Z-Man, although I see you beat us to that other new one that had been sitting there awhile! We wondered why no one had made it out there.

We're pretty happy, though. We just spent an AWESOME weekend with Honeybunnies, meeting up with Timberline Echoes for some great caching, including a mess of earthcaches, in the U.P. So we'll grant you that FTF.

Besides, Trekkin' says he's getting better about that little problem LOL.

LOL.....I let the FTF sit for quite awhile, and figured you guys would get it. Turned out to be a pretty short walk, which left me time and energy for the Levis Mounds Cache. But I couldnt stand letting that cache sit unfound any longer. The older cache right next to the new one, Goat Mountain, is where my dog got into it with a porkie 4 years ago. Not sure if she remembers, but I do.

Man, I wish I could have gone with you guys...What a team!!!! I guess I have to work once in awhile though.
