First of all, this is not a place to vote for the best Wisconsin Geocache for the week, month, year, or millennium.
Let's see of we can put our heads together to assemble Wisconsin's top rated geocaches for specific areas of the state. No voting, just your opinion.

My best lunchtime geocache is anything new within 30 miles. We've picked over the carcass up here. I haven't done the benchmark in front of my place of work yet...

Great idea!!!

Here are my choices from Eau Claire County:

Best Multi-Cache: Three-legged Dog Cache by Bobcat. (This is the first cache I attempted, but not the first as I was able to log. The cache owner kindly emailed me that maybe I should start with something a little easier. I did find the first leg, and I loved finding that first container. The multi is a little challenging, and quite scenic, and took me about two months to figure out. Experienced cachers could likely solve it in maybe 2 hours.

Best Lunchtime Geocache: Jared and TimBo ''Hill Top'' Cache by Eau Claire. (Near Oakwood Mall and hundreds of nearby restaurants, and the best parking for the cache is pretty much by Coldstone, a superb vendor of premium ice cream. The cache location is at the top of the “pyramid” across from Oakwood mall. Though it looks like a steep climb, if you park by Coldstone, or even uphill from Coldstone, it is a pretty easy walk. The aeriel view of the mall area is pretty cool too. Too top it off, I saw several deer the day I was here.)

Most Innovative Hide: Bridge to the Past by Kent1915. (I had scouted the bike trail bridge across the Chippewa River prior to Kent’s putting his cache here, and thought it would be a great location for one of my Neil Young caches that was a series of 7 caches along the Chippewa River. However, I was not nearly as clever as Kent, and couldn’t figure out a way to leave a cache here unmuggled, yet safe. Kent did.)

Best View At The Cache: Night Lights by Jenhen. (Climb to the top of Mt. Tom for a great view of the city and of Dells Pond. Cache is very easy to find, though the walk to the top requires a little bit of effort.)

Best Short Hike: WWW.5 by Bobcat. (You can park about 10 feet from this one, if coming by car. Very nice view, and right on the bike trail, ta boot.)

Best Long Hike: Hay Creek Spring by JenHen. (In eastern Eau Claire County, this cache takes you a spring that is so obvious, it almost looks like an artesian well of water coming from the hillside. Very neat place. I don’t recall how long the hike was, but maybe a half mile, mostly flat until the last 50 feet.)

Best Cache Introduction: 25 William McKinley - M by FoundOnEarth4Now, maintained by Chiot & Bnb. (This was the first cache I found, so I gotta guess it was a pretty good introduction. Actually, I think the entire presidents series located in the Chippewa valley is a great introduction to geocaching. For the most part, they are easy to find, coordinates are right on and they take you to interesting places. Kudos to FOEFN for setting up this great series, and Chiot and BnB for keeping it going.)

A loop around the beautiful Lawrence University campus

Best Lunchtime - Sheltered in the Shelter
Well, even if you do not find the cache, it's a beautiful park!

Most Innovative - Shaun's Castle
You have to do this cache to realize how innovative it is, and how memorable as well.

Best View - Outagamie County Insane Asylum
When I decided on this cache as best view it was more in my mind's eye than in reality. This is a place to pause, and ponder upon the history it represents.

Best Short - Lutz Park
One of the many Appleton parks, this is along the Fox River.

Best Long - Down a Paved Path
An exercise path around the grounds of the old AAL company (now Thrivant Financial).

Best Intro - Lutz Ice Company
A wonderful surprise very close to downtown.

Best Comical - Tweety's Home for Wayward TB's
No, I'm not pulling your leg, but rather you finger!

If you happen to notice, most are by GizFinder. Just so happens he has some great caches, and they fall into a wide range of styles, types and interests. I initially had his Metamorphsis for most innovative, but ...

Thanks Zuma! I will concur with the Three Legged Dog. Nice puzzle, but then, so is "Bobcatw98 Throws in the Towel." As far as lunch break goes... Lunch Break? I don't get no stinkin lunchbreak.
