I put out a post on the groundspeak EC forum, asking people to share the coolest ECs in their states. Not too many responses yet, but this one south of Buffalo New York looks seriously cool.

My brother lives on Long Island and we've made the trip a couple times to see him, choosing to travel through the Niagara Falls area. Looks like maybe we need to visit little bro again sometime! There are a number of ECs in the Falls area, too.

I read your post at GC earlier...I do agree with Frankenstein in Iowa...that was a fun EC. that should be a nice thread to watch.

Yeah, I was hoping to see more responses. There's sure a lot of activity on the "would you delete" thread, and it's not anything new now. Shift attention, folks!

I want so bad to go to Hawaii and do that 4/5 one FuFu is doing, where you kayak. Trekkin' will NOT fly, but I have a non-caching friend who is seriously considering it. She knows the caching takes me hiking and such, so that's good enough for her. Dick says that's an expensive EC, but I've never been to Hawaii, want to go see new birds, and he won't go, so.......his loss!

He refuses. To be fair to him, he does have a somewhat good basis for not wanting to fly, in that our return trip from the UK where we honeymooned resulted in a series of air issues that almost had us going down in the North Sea.

I didn't fly for another 14 years after that, but figured, nothing can be as bad as that was. It hasn't. He's just more stubborn!

Ooooh the memories!!! I use to visit Chestnut ridge at LEAST once every summer. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Buffalo. This park was a common place for schools trips and family get to-gethers. I don't remember the falls, but I am sure if I was to visit, it would all come back!! Maybe if I go back for another High School Reunion!!

Otherwise... I think I would like to hit that park that has the diamonds in it.

Oh, that would be fun. The site itself looks sort of boring, but it sounds like other areas of the park are nice, too. The whole concept for this one is fun, too.

I cannot believe, however, that if you saw those falls with a fire in them, that you wouldn't remember something like that!

Yeah.....I'm thinking that might be etched in my mind for a long time. LOL I think Mom & Dad just never took us over into that area.
