Hi there,
We're pretty new to this - just started last month. We got a GPS for hiking and when hubby brought it home and said "It does geocaching", I jumped right in. Yesterday we had a fun day on the Bugline and met some other cachers, which was neat. I decided to sign us up for the WGA today so that I could vote on cache of the month. If you haven't read the logs for New Hampshire, you might want to check it out - they are pretty amusing. So yesterday we visited that cache and despite logging a DNF, I want to vote for it. Plus, I've already had my lost glasses rescued from a cache site from an Earth Angel - she does you proud. (I sent hubby to find them but he scored a DNF, lol) We look forward to running into you folks wandering around through the woods, staring at your GPS!

Welcome redwingrr
A great bunch of people here.. & some even know what they are talking about (lol). Dont be afraid to ask questions or suggest things (caching related or not). We do have a lot of fun on here thru the forums & still keep the love of this game going.
Hope to meet you someday out & about.

Hello and welcome! I also am a member of the lost glasses club. My sunglasses were left at a cache. I returned less than an hour later and they were gone, but I met folks on the trail who were looking to turn them in to lost and found. Yeah, geocachers are a pretty decent bunch. Look here for opportunities to cache, advice on technology, even a good story about caching or something else. Whether you are a sometimes cacher or a serious cacher, you'll find this to be a great place to visit. |

Welcome!! Yup my husband & I were out caching with our cousin Jerry's Dad before we had an account and he lost his glasses along the trail. Somehow we still managed to find them.
Have fun hunting and meeting new people. |

Welcome to the WGA and also to the game. I have plenty of caching to do on the bugline so I am sure I will bump into you sometime. |

A big welcome from a fellow member of the Lost Glasses at Caches Club.
Enjoy the game and don't hesitate to reach out to other cachers. It's part of the fun and it's always good to have a few geofriends to reach out to when you're stuck!

Welcome to the WGA and please feel free to jump into all the forums and make yourself known. I was giggling to myself as I read Sandlanders comment about the lost glasses as I tried to find her glasses at a nearby cache in the winter. Then I just realized that I too, am part of that club as I lost my sunglasses at a cache near Wausau. I guess it is more common than I thought. |

Welcome to this great hobby of ours. Somehow this turned into a "I lost my glasses post" so I'll add my name to the count! |

Yep. Many thanks for the attempt, Labrat, but I found them myself four months later after the snow had melted. I do believe yours are still missing, though.
Now back to your regularly scheduled posting here. |

I went through 3 pair of sunglasses this summer...have a habit of perching them on my cap, setting them on the hood of the geoJeep, etc. Almost lost my GPS by setting it on the hood of the Jeep and driving off. It's all a great adventure...welcome to the game |

Thanks much for the warm welcome! Wow, all the lost glasses make me think I'll probably lose them again! Glad to hear I'm not the first!
Hope to meet you all some day at a cache.
Happy searching,
