And it's HuffinPuffin in under the wire with the second-highest monthly total of all time. Is it deja vu all over again for Jim and Linda in November 2009, or does someone have an ace or two (or twenty) up his (or her) sleeve???? |

November just doesn't seem to be doing the trick for JimandLinda! Talk about an exciting last couple of days in the season... Jim saw a flash of white, took a shot and saw the nubbin go down. But when he followed the bloodline, he discovered a gut pile and another hunting pair huffin' and puffin' their way down the trail with a 524-pointer... |

Too bad the UP of Michigan where I am is not part of the LCG. Lots of lonelys here. I found one a couple weeks ago that was not found for over a year and rescued a TB that sat in there all that time. |

Is it done yet???? We sure are!! All the chips are in! Time to reflect on what the heck happened, how it happened, what fun it was visiting a lot of new places, encountering new and differing challenges, and meeting new people! Was it planned? No. Is it a contest? No. It's a game.
We had a lot of fun, and sure did not plan for a sprint at the end........it seemed to just snowball over the last week or two. Pop! Who the heck is this Smashing Ground and where did they come from?? (Cool name.....) Hmmmmm, maybe we should try to get a couple more LCG points....but even better, put more focus on those Lonely Caches.....certainly more challenging, on balance, from what we'd been doing......and it's fun exploring the reasons why they are lonely to begin with. WHAM! Where did JimandLinda come from? Hmmmmm! Hmmmmm! What to do? Having fun yet? OK then! Vroooom! Vroooom! Let's do it 'til the end of November. And then? Retire. Agreed!
We think we were part of a healthy, game-inspired effort for the benefit of the Lonely Caches, the purpose of the game, and for the caching community at large. Hopefully we made a difference - the effort felt useful, and good. We certainly learned a lot in a short amount of time, found a lot of wonderful lonely caches; small lonely communities; and great and natural lonely spaces.
We also got to interact with many great cache owners and fellow cachers, all of which we sincerely want to thank!
Cache on! |

Who says you can't do 25 LC's in the light of 1 day?
November is the best month for the game...a new list, the leaves are on the ground instead of the trees, and the temperature is perfect.
It did look like someone was "huffin' and puffin'" those last few days! How many corners did you take on 2 wheels?
Glad to prep a nice cluster for all the 11th hour December LCG players!
See you in the Dells! |

Wow, I thought you guys had it in the bag when I noticed you come over and do a bunch of my lonely caches in rural Eau Claire County. Man, you guys put on the miles!
