Well if rsplash and frizz come, I definitely have to make it.
On a separate note:
Now we all know who/what roosevelt is.. been wondering...
We (my son and I) often improvise with large sticks on many cache hunts. I've never kept one or named it but we have had many occasions that required the use of these primitive "tools".
Best one was testing depth (and keeping balance) in the fox river as my son and I hiked to a puzzle cache final in the river. I use the term hike loosely. Who needs a yak?
I might pick one up though. I'm pretty tall so we'll see how those extensions work. |

I was planning to go do this one last weekend and didn't make it. This weekend was the new target date anyways, so I will be there. May or may not have the other two in tow. |

Hey cheeto. Roosevelt has lots of brothers and sisters laying on my woodpile. He and the rest of his kin are from the cedar family. I can bring you one from the litter if you like [ ]. |

I stopped at the rectory by the church, so the pastor is aware of the vehicles that will be parked in the lot.
As I told a concerned Fox Valley cacher, try not to over-prepare for this outing. Ropes, chains, inner tubes, waders, pitons, etc. are probably NOT necessary. Warm boots and some energy should suffice! A digging tool for the other nearby cache might be needed, but I noticed a log by T&B near Wild Rose, on a Top Spots cache, that they have a special extraction tool for digging to China! THAT I've got to see!
And, yes, Hemi Hikers are very nice! |

I'm tempted to come along, and watch this farce in the making. (Not getting to use the parking lot, now that is harsh ......)
HOW MANY?
Oh, and Jim, water ......!??? Can be present anytime of the year. There is a stream that runs through that field, somewhere ....... I found it once. Over 5 feet deep!
Next time, nothing ........ |

C'mon, Marc...your 6 weeks shy of finding this one 5 years ago! Farce? Possibly. But most of the drama for this cache comes in the summer monthes.
I'm surprised you actually measured the depth of the stream, in the middle of February! You must have been carrying one of those Hemi Hikers with the yardstick adaptor!
But I could use someone to stay behind and divide up the 2 bags of miniature marshmallows! |

This stinks now I wanna go Too bad Tim works on Saturday's (that's why we don't get to do group things often) and a long drive for me.
It sounds like so much fun to go with everyone......maybe I can talk (bribe) him into leaving work early....he is the boss
Oh well, we'll see. |
