A new year, a new month, a new record.... Who said lonely caches got lonelier in the winter? Not for long with huffinpuffin2 not even breaking a sweat and setting a new record for a LCG monthly point total at 657 points, with a whole day left to report. Seems like every time I look at the leaderboard there's another hundred or two for this team. Will we see 700?! Congrats on the most impressive month and the fun logs on those lonely finds! |

That is impressive!
But I hope they marked their home coordinates on the GPS. They haven't been there all month, I suspect! |

Huff...huff...hufff...I can't keep up!
At this pace they'll out-pace everyone by June for all-time! |

I must congratulate them as well. I thought I was off to a respectable start on 1/1 when we met up with them out at Sloppy Seconds. Then a few weeks later we met up again (this time with Gotta Run - another legend) to do Super Serums. Even at that time I thought I was going to compete, but in the last weeks I've been blown away by the number of caches they've completed. It's interesting to see some of the caches we've leapfrogged on (I log / they log & they log / I log).
I think this is a great accomplishment and should win some kind of award. Maybe golf clubs? That may slow them down a bit during the warmer weather. |

Shhhhhh! HP2 hasn't figured out yet that there's no award for finishing first. |

What? You haven't received your fabulous prize for 2009 yet?
But a job well done to huffinpuffin2. Surely there aren't too many lonelies left for them in February... |

What!? 481 caches on the list and they've only knocked off 55. Based on my calculations that leaves 426 for February. |

Thank you all very, very much! No, really, sincerely, honestly!
We've been in WI for, um, a bunch of winters, and this LCG pursuit has given us the most enjoyable winter month we've had........since we were kids? Naw, since ever! It's really been a great winter run of fun!
Now we expect CJ to come out Feb 1 with both barrels a-blazing!

Whew! I was worried for a day or so that HP2 had taken Feburary off. Nope, just waiting for a tough puzzle to be nicely aged to double points. Not that I'm watching you or anything...pay no attention to what lurks in the shadows... |
